I've been writing a lot of music lately. Sometimes my songwriting comes out in chunks of similar-styles and themes. Lately it's been a lot of songs about love and friendship. When I was at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville last week, I went to their open mic they have every Monday. Seemed a lot of people before me were in the mood to play kind of melancholy and deep stuff. I took my turn as an opportunity to try to lighten the mood in there. I think it worked. Tell me what you think!
